Project details
Sailing home from Greenland in 2010 we stopped in Reykjavik for some rest and recovery. This included a dive at Þingvellir, where the Silfra rift is located. The rift is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, that marks the boundaries between the Eurasian and North-American tectonic plate. The water is fresh water holding three degrees celsius, and originates from an upwelling of glaciar melting water somewhere deep down in the ground.
The pictures features Fredrik E. Jensen, Einar Seglem Larsen and Andreas.
