Barba was proud to join the judges’ panel for the second consecutive year at the University of Stavanger’s School Laboratory for Science‘s annual boat competition. This exciting event brought together science classes from St. Olav High School and Stavanger Cathedral School Kongsgård, where students showcased their ingenuity and teamwork by building and navigating homemade boats and cranes.
Alongside Mona Minde and Erlend Lunde from the University of Stavanger, Andreas B. Heide was honored to evaluate the projects based on speed, functionality, and design. The students’ passion and creativity were evident, culminating in a well-deserved victory for the team from Kongsgård.
Supporting the next generation of professionals in Stavanger is a privilege. We are proud to contribute to the event and look forward to seeing these young innovators excel in STEM fields in the future.
Engaging the youth in our region of Stavanger to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through initiatives like the School Laboratory of Science’s competition is an excellent way to nurture their interests and skills. STEM is cool, and these young minds are proof of that. Congratulations to all the participants!
